Geotechnical Engineer

Summary

Conducts soil investigations, lab testing, and geotechnical analysis to assess site stability and recommend foundation designs for construction projects in Singapore.

· Conduct field investigations including soil borings, test pits, and sampling. Evaluate site conditions and gather relevant data.

· Oversee or perform laboratory testing on soil and rock samples to determine their physical and mechanical properties.

· Analyze geotechnical data to assess soil stability, bearing capacity, and other relevant parameters. Provide recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and ground improvement techniques.

· Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and design recommendations. Communicate findings clearly to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.

· Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and construction teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into project designs and construction plans.

· Ensure that all geotechnical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.

· Address and resolve geotechnical challenges that arise during the design and construction phases of projects.


Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer or Recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer, and at least 3 years experience in the construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity.
