Geotechnical Engineer

The roles and responsibilities essentially includes -


- Coordinate with partner agencies for conducting geotechnical investigations, soil testing and site assessments for wind farms, solar parks, and other renewable energy installations.

- Analyse soil, rock, groundwater, and terrain conditions using field data, lab results, and geotechnical modelling tools.

- Develop and interpret geotechnical reports, including foundation and pile design recommendations and slope stability assessments.

- Collaborate with project teams on foundation design, ground improvement techniques, and risk mitigation strategies.

- Review third-party geotechnical reports and provide quality assurance for outsourced investigations.

- Support environmental impact assessments with geotechnical input.

- Participate in field visits, on-site inspections, and construction monitoring as needed.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of geotechnical standards, industry best practices, and renewable energy-specific challenges.




Requirements

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of geotechnical experience, preferably in renewable energy, heavy infrastructure, or utility-scale projects.
- Experience with site investigation techniques, borehole logging, lab test interpretation, and foundation engineering.
- Strong understanding of geo-hazards (e.g., liquefaction, landslides, seismic risk) in energy development contexts.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to project sites domestically and internationally.
