Gift Shop Associate

R.J. Corman’s My Old Kentucky Dinner Train in Bardstown is seeking a friendly, motivated Gift Shop Associate to provide exceptional customer service to guests while supporting daily retail and depot operations. This role combines retail sales, guest interaction, and operational support in a unique and historic setting, and can be structured as either a part‑time or full‑time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clerk duties, including checking guests in and assisting with boarding
• Process sales transactions (cash and credit), assist customers with product selection, bagging, wrapping, and payments
• Maintain gift shop cleanliness and ensure merchandise is properly stocked
• Monitor, record, and report gift shop inventory
• Create visually appealing merchandise displays to enhance the customer experience
• Assist reservation staff with duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Specialized Knowledge / Skills

• Prior cash handling and customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with an enthusiasm for sales and guest interaction
• Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and strong work ethic
• Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
