Gift Shop Attendant

Gift Shop Attendant responsible for greeting guests, operating POS, stocking merchandise, and providing train-related information. Seasonal role with part/full-time hours.
All aboard for a great opportunity at the 1880 Train! We're looking for friendly, outgoing, and energetic individuals to join our team as Gift Shop Attendants and help create a memorable experience for our guests. This postion is considered Seasonal with part and full time hours available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they enter the gift shop and provide information about merchandise and train-related souvenirs.
- Operate a POS system to complete accurate transactions, including handling cash and card payments.
- Tag, stock, and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive and well-stocked retail space.
- Answer guest questions about train schedules, excursions, and the history of the 1880 Train.
- Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the gift shop and surrounding guest areas.
- Support other guest service roles as needed, which may include assisting with boarding areas or special events.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Demands:
- Continuous standing and walking on level ground, as well as occasional stairs.
- Continuous hearing at conversational levels and in a busy guest environment.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, including changes in temperature and weather.
