GIS Analyst

Summary

Maintains and administers ArcGIS Enterprise, performs spatial analysis, and produces maps while supporting staff and ensuring geospatial data standards.

Salary: AUD 60 - 70 per hour



Are you a passionate Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst seeking an exciting opportunity in Perth? We are currently representing a prestigious client who is on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.

Role Overview

ArcGIS Enterprise administration, spatial data governance/standards, cartography and spatial analysis output, ETL processes, and GIS support/training for staff



Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with ESRI ArcGIS and related products
  • Strong understanding of geospatial data capture, processing, manipulation, and map production
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Sound written and verbal communication, including translating technical GIS concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Conceptual and analytical skills for developing and performing spatial analysis methods
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage work to deadlines, with initiative to solve problems
Desirable Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of geospatial databases
  • Understanding of SQL or another querying language
  • Knowledge of local government practices and the land title system
  • Familiarity with the broader ESRI geospatial ecosystem and related applications
Accreditations

  • Essential: Tertiary qualifications in GIS, spatial sciences, or a related field; Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
  • Desirable: Relevant geospatial information services accreditations
