We're looking for a GIS Data Engineer to join a growing enterprise data team, supporting and enhancing a large-scale geospatial platform.
This role will focus on the development, maintenance, and optimisation of geospatial data solutions, ETL processes, and GIS platforms, while contributing to data governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise geospatial platforms including ArcGIS Enterprise, FME, and Geospatial Data Warehouses.
- Develop and manage ETL processes using FME and/or Python.
- Perform GIS administration, including managing ArcGIS web maps, user access, content, and platform security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and application issues.
- Support software upgrades, testing, deployments, and change management processes.
- Integrate third-party systems with GIS platforms.
- Maintain system documentation and promote best practice across geospatial and data environments.
- Contribute to data governance activities including data documentation, lineage, and lifecycle management.
To be considered you must have:
- Strong experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise, FME, and enterprise GIS environments.
- Proven ETL development experience using FME and/or Python.
- 3+ years' experience in code management, platform support, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience integrating and validating data from multiple sources.
- Understanding of GIS administration, geospatial databases, and data governance principles.
