GIS ENGINEER

Summary

Maintains and analyzes utility geospatial databases, creates GIS layers and maps, and integrates survey data to produce utility mapping outputs and reports.

Roles & Responsibilities GIS and Spatial Data Management

• Manage utility geospatial databases.

• Prepare GIS layers and geodatabases (.gdb).

• Develop utility GIS datasets.

• Perform spatial data validation and quality checks.

• Manage utility asset databases.

Utility Data Integration Integrate:

• EML Detection Data

• MC-GPR Data • Gyro-Mapping Data

• Trial Trench Data • GPC Survey Data

• Topographical Survey Data

• Utility Service Records Geospatial Analysis • Conduct utility corridor analysis.

• Perform data correlation and conflict resolution.

• Generate utility mapping outputs.

• Produce GIS reports and visualisations.

Deliverables Prepare: • Geo-CUP

• GIS databases • Utility mapping drawings

• Utility attribute databases

• Spatial analysis reports

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in: o GIS o Geomatics o Geospatial Science o Surveying o Geography o Civil Engineering o Geophysics o Related Discipline

• Minimum 1 to 5 years experience.

Software Requirements Experience with:

• ArcGIS Pro

• ArcMap

• QGIS

• AutoCAD

• Civil 3D

Experience handling:

• SHP

• GDB

• KML

• DWG

• CSV

• Survey datasets
