GIS Engineer (ESRI / ArcGIS Enterprise / FME)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced GIS Engineer with strong expertise in ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise technologies to design, develop, and maintain enterprise geospatial applications and spatial data solutions. The successful candidate will lead GIS application development, build spatial data integration workflows, develop geospatial APIs, and provide technical leadership on enterprise GIS architecture.

This role requires hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, FME, REST APIs, spatial databases, and Python/JavaScript development within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, customize and maintain GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise geospatial services and REST APIs.
  • Design and implement FME Desktop and FME Server workflows for spatial ETL and data integration.
  • Develop spatial analysis tools and automated GIS workflows.
  • Optimize GIS services, spatial queries and application performance.
  • Integrate multiple spatial data sources into enterprise GIS platforms.
  • Develop GIS automation scripts using Python.
  • Work with Oracle Spatial, PostGIS or other spatial databases.
  • Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, code reviews and testing.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on GIS architecture and solution design.
  • Maintain source code using GitLab or equivalent version control tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GIS, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in GIS application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise platform.
  • Experience with FME Desktop and FME Server.
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of spatial databases such as Oracle Spatial or PostGIS.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Basic proficiency in Python scripting for GIS automation.
  • Experience with JavaScript and ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of OGC standards and web mapping technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
