Role overview
Do you have the entrepreneurial drive and commercial acumen to grow our most critical global accounts? This role is designed for a strategic leader to own and aggressively expand a dedicated portfolio of highly complex accounts in Greater China. You will drive significant revenue growth through the strategic deployment of WGSN's world-class foresight capabilities, acting as a market expert who translates global trends into profitable ROI for C-suite decision-makers.
Key accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership & Sales Execution: Partner with regional sales leaders to deliver a 3-year growth plan for your global accounts. Ensure all multi-million dollar revenue targets are exceeded through organic subscription growth, strategic upsells, and bespoke advisory projects.
- Complex Account Expansion: Identify, explore, and develop massive new business opportunities within your assigned book of strategic growth accounts.
- End-to-End Enterprise Sales Ownership: Lead all aspects of the complex global sales cycle. This includes advanced client engagement strategies, highly tailored proposal development, and navigating rigorous corporate financial, legal, and procurement negotiations unique to Greater China’s enterprise landscape.
- Win Executive Buy-in: Elevate client relationships by delivering compelling, data-driven commercial pitches directly to Executive and C-level stakeholders, cementing WGSN as an indispensable strategic partner.
- Local Market Activation: Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Client Success teams to host high-touch VIP client salons, trend forums, and exclusive executive networking events in the local market to safeguard at-risk revenue and build loyalty.
- Champion Operational Excellence: Act as a cross-functional influencer within a global matrix environment, working seamlessly across time zones with content, consulting, and client service teams.
Skills, experience & qualifications required
- 5-7 years of demonstrated success in strategic key account management, with a verifiable track record of closing and expanding high-value enterprise accounts.
- A distinct strategic and "relationship builder" mindset, comfortable executing complex, multi-year contracts within highly matrixed Fortune 500 or top-tier local enterprise organizations.
- Outstanding executive communication skills; articulate and highly confident in presenting to C-Level prospects.
- Deep understanding of the Greater China corporate landscape (specifically procurement behaviors of large-scale tech, retail, and lifestyle brands).
- Complete fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and Business English (written and spoken) is non-negotiable for internal global collaboration and external localized pitching.
- A deep passion for macro-trends and our key verticals (Fashion, Consumer Tech, Beauty, Interiors, Food & Drink).
