Global Category Manager

Milacron is looking for a Global Category Manager - Machined Parts & Outside Processing to join our team in Batavia, Ohio. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for machined components and outside processing services across Milacron’s operations.
Work You’ll Do:

Develop and execute global category strategies for machined parts and outside processing.
Lead supplier identification, qualification, selection, and rationalization.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and long-term supplier agreements.
Manage supplier relationships and performance.
Evaluate total cost, including part price, freight, duties, tariffs, inventory, and quality.
Monitor market conditions, capacity constraints, tariffs, and supply risks.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams.
Support make/buy and regional sourcing decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience with supplier negotiations, contract development, and cost savings.
Experience managing suppliers across multiple regions.
Experience with total cost analysis, including freight, duties, and tariffs.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
Experience sourcing machined components and outside processing services preferred.
Ability to read engineering drawings preferred.
Lean principles and supplier development experience preferred.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience using advanced analytics or AI within sourcing or supplier management preferred.
