Global Investment Banking - Japan Coverage - (1st Year) Analyst

As a 1st Year Analyst in the Japan Coverage team, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank.

Job responsibilities

  • Play a role in implementing the execution and deal origination function including working with assisting more senior bankers

  • Process strong function skills in the major areas of investment banking

  • Demonstrate high enthusiasm towards J.P. Morgan's mission and be driven and committed to its success

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Japanese is required to support Japan clients

  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented

  • Prior work experience in an investment banking front office or related role

  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, business writing and process management skills

  • Proficiency in business-level English is preferred, though not mandatory, with a strong willingness to learn and improve

  • Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business

  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
