Global Logistics, Warehouse and Packaging Category Leader
As the Logistics, Warehouse and Packaging Category Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our logistics, warehouse and packaging cost, risk management and supplier management. This role entails sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for the efficient and effective functioning of our supply chain. The leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the category strategy for all modes of transportation: Air, Parcel, Ocean, and LTL aligned with PKI’s business strategy and goals.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
- Supplier management: identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers. Maintain strong executive level relationships.
- Sourcing and purchasing of all modes of logistics, warehouse and packaging requirements. Develop RFQ strategies and drive implementation.
- Contract management – draft contracts to ensure best terms and conditions for PKI and manage contract renewal dates.
- Cost Management – drive year over year cost savings and mitigate inflation as required.
- Data analysis and reporting – ensure best in class data management practices to allow full visibility on PKI’ logistics and warehouse spend to enable cost savings and best in class RFP’s.
- Manage PKI’s freight payment and audit provider to ensure full value add is delivered
- Evaluate DC effectiveness
- Be a functional expert for assigned categories and support cross functional partners
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or other related fields with progressive leadership experience in Logistics Procurement with Packaging experience being a plus.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP software is a plus.
- Experience with a Transportation Management System use and implementation.
- Experience with a P2P system

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent Masters degree
- Logistics Procurement experience with an emphasis on Air, Ocean and small parcel

- Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines
