We are looking for a highly skilled Global IT Network Engineer to join our IT team. The Global Network Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, security, and continuous improvement of the company’s global network landscape. This role ensures stable, secure, and scalable connectivity across worldwide locations, data centers, cloud platforms, and OT environments, and acts as the technical owner of global network standards and architectures. This position demands a strong technical background, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Global Network Operations & Architecture:
Design, implement, and operate the global LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SASE infrastructure
Continuously evolve the global network architecture (on‑premises, cloud, hybrid)
Define and maintain global network standards, policies, and best practices
Perform technical assessments for new sites, acquisitions, and integrations (M&A)
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements
Security & Compliance:
Firewall architectures
Network segmentation (IT / OT / DMZ)
Zero Trust and secure access concepts
Implement and operate:
Enterprise switches, firewalls, load balancers and wireless networks
IDS/IPS and Network Access Control (NAC)
Cloud & Data Center Networking
Design and integrate networking for cloud platforms
Connect data centers and cloud environments
Operate load balancing, routing, DNS, and IPAM solutions
Support high‑availability and resilient network designs
2nd Level Operations & 3rd Level Support
Act as 3rd‑level support for complex network incidents
Perform root cause analysis for major incidents
Proactively manage performance and capacity
Vendor & Service Provider Management
Provide technical leadership for external service providers and carriers
Review and validate designs, implementations and offers
Ensure service quality and SLA compliance
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Maintain global network documentation (topologies, standards, IP plans)
Share knowledge within the global IT organization
Support and advise local IT teams worldwide

Do you have experience in following?
LAN / WAN / WLAN
Routing & Switching (TCP/IP, VLANs and IS-IS)
VPN technologies (IPsec, DTLS and SSL)
Enterprise firewalls and network security
Global, multi‑site network environments
Excellent network troubleshooting skills
Experience with SASE solutions
Cloud networking experience
Experience with network monitoring and performance tools
