As the Global Royal Canin Transition Manager, you will be a key member of the MGS Commercial Solutions leadership team, reporting directly to the Global Senior Director, MGS Commercial Solutions. This global role is pivotal in driving the strategic vision, transformation roadmap, and execution for Royal Canin's commercial operations service lines. This includes leading the critical Digital Core / S4H migration as part of the broader EoS program. You will hold global accountability for delivering Commercial operations for Royal Canin.

Success in this role requires a mastery of process, encompassing profound understanding across Commercial operations, solutions, technologies, GPO, internal controls, solution design, business case crafting, and daily operations. You will orchestrate the end-to-end transformation from current to future state, and lead robust operational and management governance processes within our 3-tier model. This position is integral to the Commercial Operational delivery organization

What would be your key responsibilities?

Strategic Governance & Stakeholder Leadership:

  • Actively contribute as a valued member of the RC Global Indirect Governance Reset Steering Committee, shaping strategic direction.
  • Champion effective stakeholder engagement across segment, technology, and transformation teams to foster collaboration and alignment.

End-to-End Business Case Ownership & Execution Excellence:

  • Drive the successful execution of the Business Case, ensuring strict adherence to approved budget, scope, and agreed timelines.
  • Lead the strategic hiring plan for new roles, securing alignment with project timelines and budgetary parameters.
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day management and oversight for transition PMOs, optimizing operational effectiveness.

Leading Segment Legacy Transition Delivery with Precision:

  • Assume full ownership and strategic management of the transition timeline, ensuring seamless alignment with RC objectives.
  • Guarantee the timely and high-quality delivery of all transitions, consistently meeting agreed standards, specifically including executing planned transitions according to the established schedule across solution lines and regions
  • Strategically coordinate deployments with relevant operational hubs, aligning with the overarching location strategy.
  • Chair and lead regular Steering Committee meetings, fostering transparent communication and decision-making.
  • Oversee the robust deployment of template processes; in instances of deviation, take accountability for risk assessment and process redesign, secure essential sign-offs
  • Define and manage the RACI matrix for RC → MGS CS Transition, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Uphold and ensure continuous compliance of all processes with Mars Standards, including the Commercial Guide, and drive updates in line with GPO-driven changes.

Strategic Support for digital Core Transition/ S4H:

  • Collaboratively align scope and resources to effectively support S4H initiatives, including the development of a Business Case for any incremental roles.
  • Define and synchronize critical project support to be delivered , ensuring execution meets required quality standards and agreed timelines.
  • Partner with the Ops Team Manager to align on the allocation of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to bolster transition efforts.

Driving Continuous Improvement through Tools & Reporting:

  • Ensure robust alignment and successful delivery of critical improvements, necessary funding, and supporting its delivery within agreed scope and budget, in close collaboration with RC G&C.
  • Facilitating the seamless tool migrations, aligning assumptions and providing essential support as requested by MGS DT.

Empowering Leadership & Team Development:

  • Serve as a dedicated Line Manager for the Transition PMO, fostering professional growth and performance.
  • Strategically delegate transition-related tasks to the transition PMO, providing comprehensive oversight and ensuring successful execution.
  • Offer invaluable mentoring and continuous guidance to the transition PMO and operational teams, nurturing their capabilities and development.

What are we looking for?

  • A strategic leader with 10-15+ years of experience in global commercial operations, financial operations, and large-scale business transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and executing significant business cases and strategic programs, ensuring adherence to budget, scope, and timelines.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic vision and transformation roadmaps for critical service lines, including Digital Core / S4H migration .
  • A master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A master of process with a deep understanding of Commercial operations, technologies, GPO, Internal controls, solution design, and business case crafting.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end commercial operational cycles and the ability to ensure continuous compliance with Commercial operations Standards.
  • Experience in overseeing robust deployment of template processes and accountability for risk assessment and process redesign.
  • A proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing, diverse teams in a global environment.
  • Experience in line management and strategically delegating tasks while providing oversight and guidance.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to champion effective stakeholder engagement across segment, technology, and transformation teams.
  • Ability to build trust and act as a diplomatic bridge between different teams, functions, and senior leaders, including chairing Steering Committee meetings.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and storytelling skills, crucial for securing essential sign-offs and fostering transparent communication.
  • Extensive experience in daily service management, operational delivery, and stabilization of processes within a global context.
  • Proven ability to partner with various operational hubs and functional teams to align and coordinate deployments and support critical initiatives.
  • Experience in facilitating seamless tool migrations and supporting large-scale system changes.
  • Strong confidence and "standing alone" capability, with the ability to challenge status-quo assumptions constructively, stand by principles, and act as a true strategic partner to the business
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (additionally French would be a strong asset) is required, given the global nature of the role and its collaboration across regions.
