Global Security Manager
Summary
Lead corporate (non-retail) security for Walmart's offices in Chile: own business continuity, emergency response and life safety, travel and executive security, investigations, training, and adoption of global security standards and technologies.
Position Summary
Lead the security strategy and daily operations for Non-Retail (corporate) offices in Chile. Own Business Continuity (BCP), emergency response and life safety readiness, travel security and executive support for Non-Retail leaders, security training, alignment to global standards, and technology adoption to improve security outcomes. Serve as a key security point of contact between the local business and Global Security partners, supporting threat management alignment and cross-functional execution.
Core Responsibilities
Business Continuity (BCP): Maintain and test BCP, contingency plans, crisis management and emergency response plans; coordinate exercises and ensure readiness for disruptive events (natural, political, social, or technological).
Emergency Response & Life Safety: Lead tactical responses for life safety incidents and coordinate with internal partners and external authorities; support emergency response planning and execution.
Threat Management & Risk Intelligence: Partner with internal teams to support threat management efforts; monitor and share relevant security risk information/alerts to stakeholders as needed to protect associates and operations.
Travel Security & Executive Support: Provide traveler risk reviews and guidance (itinerary review, transport/hotel security, escalation); support Non-Retail executives and senior leader visits, and coordinate response support during travel-related emergencies.
Corporate Security Operations: Oversee site security controls and service providers (e.g., guard services, access control, monitoring) as applicable; ensure SOP compliance and service quality.
Security Assessments / Surveys / Audits: Support security assessments and gap-closure efforts aligned with Global Security minimum standards (e.g., surveys/assessments and follow-up actions) to strengthen readiness and compliance
Investigations & Incident Management: Coordinate investigations related to policy/ethics allegations, criminal activity, security breaches and supplier complaints; ensure documentation, escalation and closure.
Training & Awareness: Coordinate and deliver security training and awareness for Non-Retail teams and key stakeholders; support awareness programs focused on associate safety and preparedness.
Standards & Technology: Drive adoption of global security standards and evaluate/implement security technologies used by Home Office where relevant; facilitate technological and digital integration that improves security outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Sociology, Emergency Management, or related field OR 3–5 years of experience in operational safety/security, law enforcement, emergency services, or related field.
Advanced / fluent English.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional partners.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Comfortable operating in high-exposure, sensitive situations (life safety incidents, executive support, crisis response).
Valid driver’s license (in good standing / up to date).
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Experience with CCTV and electronic security systems.
Budget management experience.
Experience implementing emergency response protocols for on-site and off-site environments.
