The Global Vice President Procurement leads the global Procurement function at Confidential. The role is accountable for company-wide procurement governance, strategic commodity management, supplier portfolio development, procurement transformation and supplier performance. It covers direct and indirect spend across global material fields and works closely with executive management, regional teams and business functions to improve cost competitiveness, supplier resilience, process efficiency and value delivery.

Role purpose

The Global Vice President Procurement leads the global Procurement & Logistics function and is accountable for the company-wide procurement mandate, including governance of sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, procurement methods, procurement tools and strategic supplier portfolio development.

The role ensures that procurement protects the business, supports growth, improves competitiveness and creates measurable value across direct and indirect spend. It combines strategic category leadership, organisational transformation, operational governance and supplier risk management.

The role is responsible for building a lean, data-driven and globally aligned procurement organisation that supports Confidential’s business needs while improving efficiency, compliance, cost performance, supplier quality and process maturity.

Key accountabilities

1. Global procurement leadership: Lead the global Procurement & Logistics function across strategic procurement, commodity management, supplier quality, functional excellence and regional procurement interfaces. Ensure global procurement priorities are aligned with business strategy, project needs and financial objectives.

1. Procurement governance: Own and continuously improve company-wide procurement governance for sourcing, purchasing and supplier management. Ensure policies, processes, approval structures and tools are fit for purpose, understood and consistently applied.

1. Strategic commodity management: Set the strategic direction for direct and indirect material fields and ensure the availability of competitive global supplier portfolios across the relevant material and service fields.

1. Procurement transformation: Lead the transformation of procurement towards a more digital, lean and value-oriented function. Drive improvement in e-sourcing, e-RFx, source-to-contract, procure-to-pay, contract management, spend visibility, forecast visibility and supplier relationship management.

1. Supplier strategy and performance: Develop supplier strategies that improve cost, quality, reliability, innovation and risk resilience. Strengthen supplier scorecards, supplier reviews, supplier quality management and fact-based supplier performance steering.

1. Cost, savings and value delivery: Deliver measurable procurement impact through savings, cost avoidance, working capital contribution, contract optimisation, demand management and commercial risk mitigation.

1. Risk and compliance: Ensure procurement decisions consider commercial, operational, supply chain, ESG, compliance and supplier risk. Support risk visibility and mitigation across the supplier base.

1. Operating model and organisational development: Design and improve the procurement operating model, including the split between strategic, tactical and operational procurement activities. Reduce organisational friction and clarify roles and responsibilities.

1. Stakeholder management: Act as senior procurement partner to executive management, regions, business units, project teams, finance, legal, IT, HR and operations.

1. People leadership: Lead, develop and hold accountable a global procurement leadership team across multiple locations. Build capability in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, analytics, digital procurement, negotiation and commercial leadership.

Required experience

• Senior procurement leadership experience in an international, project-driven or technology-driven environment

• Proven experience leading direct and indirect procurement categories

• Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract management and category strategy

• Experience in procurement transformation, process improvement and digital procurement tools

• Experience managing global or multi-country teams

• Proven ability to work with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders

• Strong commercial understanding, including cost drivers, supplier economics, risk trade-offs and business impact

• Experience in complex industrial, infrastructure, technology, manufacturing or engineering environments
