Gluer Operator 3rd Shift
Summary
Operate folding and gluing machines on third shift, set up jobs from tickets, monitor quality, and perform basic maintenance in a print-production environment.
- Set up and operate folding and gluing equipment based on job tickets and approved specifications
- Run equipment at optimal speeds while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Review job tickets to ensure accuracy of all requirements (orientation, labeling, quantities, skid configuration, and special instructions)
- Monitor production and make adjustments to maintain consistent quality and performance
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and escalate when needed
- Perform routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs (non-electrical)
- Ensure proper materials are available and correctly staged for production
- Partner with Feeders, Packers, and team members to support smooth workflow
- Reconcile production counts and maintain accurate system reporting (e.g., Hagen system)
- Complete production documentation and logs accurately and on time
- Prepare for upcoming jobs to help reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment (5S standards)
- Support team members and assist across production as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines, SOPs, and company procedures
