GM Couple (Maternity Cover)

General Manager Couple | Luxury Lodge | Greater Kruger Area

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a strong and experienced General Manager Couple to provide maternity cover at a luxury lodge in the Greater Kruger Area. This temporary contract runs from November 2026 only and requires a dynamic couple with a wellness background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of lodge operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day lodge operations across all departments
  
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences and service standards at all times
  
• Lead, mentor, and develop lodge teams
  
• Manage guest relations and proactively address feedback
  
• Oversee Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, and Maintenance operations
  
• Monitor budgets, financial controls, and operational costs
  
• Ensure effective stock control and procurement processes
  
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards
  
• Drive staff training, development, and performance management initiatives
  
• Manage administration, reporting, and compliance requirements
  
• Foster a positive team culture and strong staff morale
  
• Maintain the lodge's luxury standards and reputation
  

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a General Manager Couple or Senior Lodge Management Couple in a luxury lodge environment
  
• Strong understanding of luxury hospitality operations
  
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
  
• Proven guest relations and service excellence experience
  
• Financial management and budgeting expertise
  
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Computer literacy and lodge management system experience
  
• Valid driver's licences
  
• Hospitality qualifications advantageous
