GNC Engineer
Summary
Develops and maintains flight control software for autonomous drones using C++ and PX4 Autopilot, tuning GNC parameters and analyzing flight logs to improve system performance.
We are looking for a GNC Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of guidance, navigation, and control software for autonomous robotic systems.
In this role, you will work on the core flight software responsible for vehicle guidance, navigation, and control, with a primary focus on unmanned aerial systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop new capabilities, integrate software with new hardware platforms, improve system performance, and investigate real-world operational issues.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) software for autonomous systems
Develop new features and improve existing functionality within the PX4 Autopilot ecosystem
Design and implement reliable, high-quality onboard software in C++
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate software with new platforms
Analyze UAV flight logs to identify anomalies, evaluate vehicle behavior, troubleshoot system issues, and determine root causes
Tune UAV Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) parameters to achieve the desired flight characteristics
Develop automated tests to ensure software reliability and performance
Support system integration, validation, and field testing activities when required
Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development practices
Requirements:
Strong understanding of flight dynamics, control systems, and aerodynamics
Solid experience with C/C++, preferably in Linux-based embedded environments
Experience with PX4 Autopilot or a comparable autopilot platform
Experience developing robotic applications using ROS/ROS2
Understanding of state estimation techniques, including Kalman filtering
Experience analyzing flight data and troubleshooting autonomous systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within distributed engineering teams
Strong English communication skills (Upper-Intermediate/B2 or higher)
Will be a plus:
Experience with Python
Hands-on drone experience, including piloting
Experience with hardware integration and field testing
