Summary
GNC Software Engineer developing guidance, navigation, and control systems for robotics and autonomous platforms using ROS/ROS2, Python, C++, and MATLAB.
Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience in some or all of the following: ROS / ROS2
- Experience in some or all of the following: Python and/or C++
- Experience in some or all of the following: MATLAB
- Experience in some or all of the following: Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC)
- Experience in some or all of the following: robotics, autonomous systems or control systems
- Experience in some or all of the following: sensor integration (LiDAR, IMU, cameras)
- A Masters degree in Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Control Systems or a related discipline is preferred
- Around two or more years commercial engineering experience
- Develop Guidance, Navigation & Control algorithms for next-generation autonomous robotic systems
- Design and implement intelligent navigation algorithms
- Develop simulation models
- Validate work through laboratory testing and real-world field trials
- Work alongside experienced Systems, Software and Robotics Engineers
- Support development from sensor integration through to on-board autonomy across the full development lifecycle

This is a hybrid role based in Stevenage, with three days onsite, offering a circa £50,000 salary and excellent benefits.
