Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced AI Business Analyst / Product Owner with proven experience in driving AI/ML, Generative AI (GenAI) or Automation initiatives from requirement gathering and solution design through development, testing and production deployment.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of AI/ML and GenAI ecosystems, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt Engineering and Agentic Workflows.
The candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into functional specifications, defining AI solution workflows, establishing evaluation frameworks and ensuring successful production implementation.
Candidates must have independently owned at least one AI/ML/GenAI/Automation project end-to-end.
General Business Analyst experience with only peripheral AI exposure will not meet the requirement.
Key Responsibilities :
1. AI Product Ownership & Project Management :
- Own AI/ML/GenAI and Automation initiatives from requirement gathering and solution conceptualisation through production go-live.
- Define product requirements, scope, roadmaps, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, product and business teams to drive implementation.
- Manage project priorities, dependencies, timelines and stakeholder expectations.
2. Business Analysis & Solution Design :
- Conduct requirement elicitation sessions and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Design workflows and solution requirements for non-deterministic AI systems.
- Define input/output contracts, edge cases, confidence thresholds and escalation mechanisms.
- Establish acceptance criteria for AI-generated outputs that may vary.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation through AI and automation.
3. GenAI & LLM Understanding :
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and RAG architectures.
- Understand Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI workflows, hallucination and grounding concepts.
- Possess conceptual familiarity with vector databases, LangChain, LangGraph or similar GenAI frameworks.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define suitable AI solution approaches.
4. AI Testing & Evaluation :
- Define testing and evaluation frameworks for AI/ML and GenAI applications.
- Establish evaluation parameters covering accuracy, latency, hallucination rates and response quality.
- Define business KPIs such as turnaround time reduction and automation efficiency.
- Monitor solution performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Establish feedback mechanisms and escalation workflows.
5. Data & Technical Collaboration :
- Use SQL to independently validate data and verify system outputs.
- Work with APIs and integrations to validate data flows and system behaviour.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions.
- Understand MLOps and LLMOps concepts, including monitoring, feedback loops and retraining triggers.
6. Stakeholder Management :
- Work closely with business stakeholders across Sales, Underwriting, Actuary, Operations, Claims and Finance.
- Coordinate between business users, product teams and engineering teams.
- Communicate complex AI concepts and technical solutions effectively.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and AI solution delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 4 - 8 years of overall experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership or related roles.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst / Product Owner on AI, ML, GenAI or Automation projects.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of at least one AI/ML/GenAI/Automation solution through production deployment.
- Working knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering and Agentic Workflows.
- Understanding of hallucination, grounding, confidence thresholds and model evaluation.
- Experience in requirements elicitation, functional specifications and solution design.
- Hands-on SQL and API integration experience.
- Experience defining AI testing, evaluation and acceptance frameworks.
- Understanding of MLOps/LLMOps concepts and model monitoring.
- Familiarity with vector databases, LangChain and LangGraph.
- Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior experience in the Insurance domain.
- Understanding of Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Sales and Insurance Operations.
- Experience implementing AI-driven workflow automation and business process transformation.
- Exposure to enterprise AI product development and deployment.
