Golang Back-end Developer
Summary
The Golang Back-end Developer will design and build security-focused features, automation tools, and AI agents within the HashiVault squad. The role requires strong experience in Go, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms to support cybersecurity infrastructure and service delivery.
You'll join our growing HashiVault squad, part of our strategy to offer more services and a better client experience in cybersecurity. The squad has run build-and-run for 5 years across North America, Europe, and India. We're looking for a fungible developer to help sustain the ownership and independence culture already in place.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and develop new features, tooling, and automations for security controls
- Implement tooling or AI agents for vulnerability analysis, cyber resiliency, service delivery, and DevOps tasks
- Build testing frameworks and suites
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Support remediation against security findings, automation, and observability
- Enforce architectural standards and product guidelines
- Develop new integrations and onboard tools with Technology teams
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
- Share knowledge and contribute to best-practice cross-pollination across the squad and Data Protection Services
What we're looking for
- 3+ years backend/full-stack Golang experience, including REST APIs and microservices
- 2+ years of Kubernetes experience, including Helm
- 2+ years on Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Solid skills in AI-enhanced software design and development
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaborative approach
Nice to have:
- HashiCorp products (Vault, Terraform)
- CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
- Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code
- Reliability practices (SLOs, incident response, observability engineering)
- Cybersecurity practices (encryption at rest/in transit, secret management, CVE remediation, auth, PKI)

- Onsite in Montreal, 3x/week, from Day 1
- Part of an international team (North America, Europe, India) — participation in meetings, training, or projects conducted in English
