Role Summary
We are looking for a senior Golang Backend Developer to design and build high-availability, scalable
services for a payments platform. You will own backend components across payment processing and
transaction management, working in a PCI DSS-compliant environment with an event-driven, Kafka-based
architecture.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Go for payment processing and transaction
management.
• Build highly available, scalable and fault-tolerant systems that handle high transaction volumes.
• Implement secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT and encryption, in line with PCI DSS requirements.
• Develop event-driven and asynchronous workflows using Kafka.
• Write unit and integration tests and follow test-driven development (TDD) practices.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and work with Git-based workflows on Linux.
• Set up and use monitoring and logging tools to keep services observable and reliable in production.
• Collaborate with architects, QA and product teams on design reviews and production support.

Must-Have Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on Golang backend work.
• Payments domain: payment processing, transaction management, high availability, scalability and PCI
DSS compliance.
• Tools: Git, Linux, Jenkins, monitoring and logging tools.
• Testing: unit testing, integration testing, test-driven development (TDD).
• Security: OAuth 2.0, JWT, encryption, secure API development.
• Messaging: Kafka, event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing.

Good to Have
• Exposure to Python or Java.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with microservices and containerised deployments.
