Golang Developer
Description
About the role
Staff back-end engineer and senior anchor of the platform pod on a dedicated India team working on a network observability SaaS platform for a global SaaS customer: high-volume telemetry ingest
(millions of records per second), a custom time-series store and analytics on top, built as Go microservices and run on Docker and Nomad today, moving to Kubernetes, across AWS, Azure and
GCP.
Requirements
• 5-12+ years of back-end engineering, with distributed systems at scale.
• Expert Golang; some Python.
• Microservices, gRPC/REST, Kafka or other streaming platforms.
• Analytical and relational stores: ClickHouse or similar columnar/time-series stores, PostgreSQL.
• Docker, Nomad or Kubernetes; AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
• Willingness to carry on-call for the services you own.
• Strong written and spoken English.
What you will do
• Lead a pod of five engineers on the platform: telemetry ingest pipeline, storage layer and
distributed query engine.
• Design and scale Go microservices with gRPC/REST and event streaming for high-cardinality data
at millions of records per second.
• Drive performance work: query latency, storage tiering, indexing and cost across multi-cloud
clusters.
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers, represent the pod in weekly and sprint ceremonies in
the India evening.
• Join the follow-the-sun on-call rotation: during your on-call week you work the early India window
(06:3014:30 IST); otherwise standard India hours, async-first with the US.
Note: We are looking for immediate joinee who can join within 10 Days.
