About the Role
We are seeking a talented Golang Developer for Banking Industry to join our development team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical banking applications, contributing to the development of robust, secure, and high-performance systems that serve the financial sector. Based in Central Jakarta, this role offers you the chance to apply your expertise in Go programming whilst working with state-of-the-art banking technology and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimise backend services and applications using Go (Golang), ensuring they meet banking industry standards and regulatory requirements
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code whilst adhering to established coding standards and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, quality assurance specialists, and product managers to design and implement robust solutions
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain high code quality
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in production and development environments
Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable microservices and distributed systems
Ensure applications comply with banking security protocols, data protection regulations, and industry standards such as ISO 27001 and relevant financial compliance requirements
Work with APIs, databases, and third-party integrations to build comprehensive banking solutions
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends
What We're Looking For
Proven professional experience as a Go/Golang developer with a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on development experience
Strong proficiency in Go programming language with a solid understanding of concurrency, goroutines, and channels
Experience developing backend services, APIs, and microservices architectures
Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL)
Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience with API development
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Knowledge of banking systems, financial protocols, or payment processing is highly desirable
Understanding of security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
