Golang Developer
Summary
Develops scalable backend services and APIs in Go/Java, modernizing legacy Java systems while optimizing performance and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure.
We are looking for an experienced Golang Developer with strong Java experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable, high-performance applications using Go, along with a solid background in Java-based systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and backend services using Golang.
- Develop and enhance applications using Java/J2EE when required.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
- Work with databases, messaging systems, and cloud-based technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Analyze existing Java applications and support migration or modernization efforts using Go.
Required Skills
- Strong professional experience with Golang (Go).
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Java-based backend applications.
- Experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
- Good understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
- Experience with unit testing and debugging.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience modernizing or migrating Java applications to Golang.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in both Golang and Java.
