Your role and responsibilities
The Supply Chain Sourcing Engineer is responsible for several categories including metal parts etc assigned categories
Perform sourcing request and qualify new suppliers, Implement daily RFQ, manage material cost and price. NPI sourcing for new ToT or Engineering solutions.
Manage operational supplier quality, safety, deilivery. Based on maturity and performance, manage the supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Drive supplier sustainability and green supply.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions division in China.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supplier Identification - Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with category team. Qualify new suppliers in cooperation in align with category strategy.
- Sourcing and RFQ- Responsible for daily, project and NPI related RFQ
- Cost - Develop and optimize cost models for fabricated parts. Be accountable for the category budget and deliver against annual cost-saving targets. Track and report savings and avoidance.
- Parts approval - Manages operational supplier quality, including validating the supplier's quality systems and the quality of the supplier's processes. Drives approval of supplier parts, materials and project subcontractor service activities.
- Supplier Performance - Oversees supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues. Monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements. Leads the quick reaction of supply issues related to quality issues, deliveries, non-conforming products or project services.
- Negotiations - Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions.
- Contracts – Prepare and negotiate corporate contractual framework and executive
- Bid analysis - Analyzes and evaluates bids in order to determine the optimal value.
- Sustainability – Implement green supply and supplier sustainability management
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes (machining, welding, stamping, bending, surface treatment, assembly), materials type (steel, copper, stainless), solid understanding of drawing requirements
- Experience of mould development is a good plus
- Leading complext and key supplier negotiation, cost and financial analysis and contract management
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and root-cause analysis skills to resolve complex supply, quality, and cost issues.
- Extensive knowledge working in sourcing, technical material development, index material analysis,
- English Skill
- Good at communication, careful, result oriented, self-motivation
