Job Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support analytical delivery across one or more project
teams. The role involves extracting, preparing, validating, and analyzing large datasets;
maintaining reports and dashboards; and translating defined business requirements into
actionable insights. The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, working knowledge of BI and ETL
processes, and experience using Python or R for advanced analysis and automation.
Key Responsibilities
•
Support Business Analysis: Work with consultants and managers to clarify business
objectives, requirements, constraints, and decision needs.
•
Perform Data Analysis: Execute data extraction, preparation, validation, recurring analysis,
testing, and reporting using large or complex datasets.
•
Develop and Maintain Reports: Build and maintain dashboards, reports, workflows, and
analytical data structures using PLX and other internal analytics tools.
•
Write and Optimize SQL: Query, manipulate, and analyze datasets to support business
requirements and analytical projects.
•
Automate Analytical Tasks: Use Python or R, typically through Google Colab, for deeper
analysis, automation, and data processing when needed.
•
Ensure Data Quality: Identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and ambiguities; validate
analytical logic and document assumptions.
•
Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work with consultants, developers, and data engineers
to test solutions and refine analytical outputs.
•
Communicate Findings: Manage assigned tasks, provide progress updates, and present
results for defined areas of responsibility.
•
Maintain Documentation: Document analytical processes, reporting logic, assumptions,
and testing results.
Must-Have Skills
•
Strong SQL Coding – Ability to query and analyze large or complex datasets.
•
Python or R – Knowledge of scripting for data analysis and automation; proficiency in
Python is advantageous.
•
BI and Reporting – Experience building or maintaining reports, dashboards, and analytical
outputs.
•
ETL and Data Preparation – Understanding of data extraction, transformation, loading,
validation, and data quality.
•
Data Modeling – Working knowledge of data structures, data warehouses, and analytical
data architectures.
Good-to-Have Skills
•
Experience with Google PLX and other internal Google analytics tools, or the ability to learn
them quickly.
•
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Colab.
•
Experience in supply chain analytics, inventory management, logistics, or operations.
•
Customer-facing or consulting experience.
•
Familiarity with large enterprise datasets and cross-functional analytical delivery.
Qualifications
•
Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
•
At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, data analysis, or a related role.
•
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
•
Ability to work under the direction of consultants and managers while independently
managing assigned tasks.
