Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Analyst

GRC Analyst ensures SOX compliance, risk assessments, and policy maintenance for an AI cloud provider, collaborating with teams to implement controls and support audits.

Responsibilities
- Support the SOX compliance program end to end: perform control walkthroughs and testing (including ITGCs), map processes to controls, collect and organize evidence, and track deficiencies through to remediation.
- Monitor regulatory/industry changes and update controls, policies and procedures accordingly.
- Conduct and support risk assessments: identify and document risks, assess likelihood and impact, and work with control owners on treatment and remediation plans.
- Support internal and external audit processes (with an emphasis on SOX audits): prepare documentation, respond to control owner queries and track remediation.
- Create, review and maintain policies, standards and procedures, ensuring they remain current, consistent and aligned with SOX requirements and frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure controls are implemented and effectively maintained.
- Participate in third-party/vendor risk reviews, helping to gather documentation and follow up remediation steps.
- Manage compliance requests, evidence collection and remediation tasks through ticketing systems, keeping records accurate and up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, cybersecurity or similar.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a compliance team.
- Strong knowledge of SOX (including IT general controls), with working knowledge of SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Good analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining policies and performing risk assessments.
- Experienced user of ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Freshdesk) for managing compliance workflows.
- Familiarity with GRC tools

- The expected base salary for this role starts at $105-125K annually CAD.
