Job Overview:
As a Governance Specialist at Emirates NBD, you will support compliance, operational risk, and day-to-day operational activities across the staff segment. You will work closely with customers, Relationship Managers, compliance teams, branches, PRB centers, and other stakeholders to manage alerts, remediation activities, reporting, and procedural follow-ups in line with approved policies, service expectations, and Emirates NBD standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage compliance alerts, operational tasks, and remediation activities in line with approved policies, procedures, and agreed service timelines.
- Coordinate high-risk customer reviews, thematic reviews, and follow-up actions with Relationship Managers, customers, compliance teams, branches, and PRB centers.
- Maintain accurate and complete customer information while ensuring timely engagement on assigned alerts and remediation matters.
- Prepare and share MIS reports to support tracking, governance, and operational decision-making.
- Escalate exceptions, deviations, or potential risks promptly in line with the delegation matrix.
- Support team projects, procedural updates, and guidance to segment staff where required.
- Uphold Emirates NBD standards, values, and code of conduct while delivering a customer-focused service experience.
Skills and Experience
- UAE National, in line with Emirates NBD’s commitment to developing national talent.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Understanding of banking operations, compliance, operational risk, and policy or procedural requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to manage alerts, customer information, and remediation activities accurately.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused and professional approach.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
