GPFS IBM DBA

We are looking for an experienced IBM DB2 UDB Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on expertise in DB2 PureScale, Pacemaker, and database administration on Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer IBM DB2 databases in Linux environments.
• Work on DB2 PureScale and Pacemaker implementations.
• Create and manage databases and tables based on application requirements.
• Perform L3/L4-level troubleshooting of database-related incidents.
• Manage database backup, recovery, security, and access controls.
• Monitor and optimize database performance.
• Perform database tuning, partitioning, and compression.
• Handle DB2 utilities such as Reorg, Runstats, Rebind, Export, Import, Load, Backup, and Restore.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and Shell scripts for automation.
• Manage storage and I/O performance-related issues.
• Work closely with application teams and vendors to resolve database issues.

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as an IBM DB2 UDB DBA.
• Strong hands-on experience in DB2 Database Administration on Linux.
• Knowledge of IBM DB2 PureScale and Pacemaker.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Ansible.
• Strong understanding of database backup and recovery.
• Experience in DB2 performance tuning and database monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 Explain and SQL access plan optimization.
• University graduate degree (Mandatory).

Good-to-Have Skills:

• IBM GPFS / IBM Storage Scale.
• Shell Scripting.
• PostgreSQL.
• PL/I.
• Grafana / Dynatrace monitoring tools.
