We are seeking a Global Category Manager for our Global Workforce Services category to own and drive category management activities for our Customer Fulfillment network across the EU and UK. The person in this role will coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple countries and diverse stakeholder groups to deliver optimal solutions. The ideal candidate will be analytical with global strategic procurement experience. The individual needs strong communication skills and the ability to influence and support cross-functional stakeholder groups across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate takes initiative and demonstrates ownership in driving business goals, while being agile to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The person in this will work and partner with multiple teams to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, deliver savings, drive supplier performance and continuously improve productivity across the Workforce Services category portfolio.



Key job responsibilities
• Establish Workforce Services category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing engagements (RFI, RFQ and RFP), negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts to optimize Amazon’s competitive position and meet business objectives.
• Drive appropriate commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the lowest total cost of ownership that meets the business’ goals, supported by a culture of continuous improvement with cost & performance benchmarks in use.
• Leverage proven negotiation strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with strategic suppliers pertaining to Amazon Operations
• Negotiate and implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
• Develop and leverage Workforce Services category procurement expertise to engage, earn trust and influence a diverse set of stakeholders across Operations, HR/PXT, and site-level business owners across the EU/UK.
• Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize performance and drive opportunities for improvement. You will track performance against SLAs and KPIs, through monthly and quarterly business reviews with the principal objective of achieving optimal, high performing solutions and cost of ownership that meets the business’ goals.
• Influence suppliers' processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations by leveraging the growth of Amazon's spend.
• Act as a market intelligence leader regarding categories; anticipate risk and strategic opportunities to keep key stakeholders informed.
• Drive category suppliers in Supplier Relationship Management activities to mitigate risk, improve performance and add value to Amazon.
• Build and maintain a savings pipeline, validating and report on savings and sustainability value targets for category sourcing and post contract award activities.
• Align with internal customers diving deep into the Workforce Services value chain to understand the business impact and drive impactful solutions.
• Build the category metrics model based on input from category leaders and business stakeholders to track and monitor performance to the category strategy; measure actual vs planned savings and advise team of trends, escalate issues and own action plans.
• Leverage technology, including AI to drive incremental value, improve visibility, reduce administrative burden and drive continuous improvements.

• You will leverage technology, including AI to develop tool and mechanisms that improve category delivery and stakeholder experience.
• Adapt to a fast paced, constantly changing environment to rapidly meet customer needs.
• You will dive deep to unlock value and help deploy services at scale for Operations.
