About the Role
Superpower X AI is an AI infrastructure company specializing in large-scale GPU computing clusters for AI training and inference.
We are looking for a hands-on GPU Server Operations & Maintenance Engineer to support the deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of high-performance NVIDIA GPU servers.
The role focuses primarily on GPU server hardware operations, while also requiring practical Linux, GPU software troubleshooting and basic networking skills. Rotating shifts are required to support our 24/7 operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily operations, inspections and monitoring of GPU servers, including hardware health, GPU utilization, temperature, power consumption and system performance.
Deploy, install and maintain GPU servers, including rack mounting, cabling, hardware configuration, testing and commissioning.
Diagnose and troubleshoot GPU server hardware and system issues, including GPU failures, server crashes, driver errors, network connectivity and performance abnormalities.
Perform hardware replacements, preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades and basic Linux system maintenance to ensure GPU cluster stability.
Support GPU server deployment and decommissioning, system configuration, GPU driver maintenance and operational readiness.
Manage incoming and outgoing data centre equipment, including servers, racks, networking devices, spare parts and related infrastructure components.
Maintain accurate asset and spare parts inventory, including stock tracking, reconciliation, RMA coordination and equipment records.
Coordinate with hardware vendors on technical troubleshooting, issue escalation, warranty claims, component replacement and resolution of server or infrastructure issues.
Maintain operational logs, incident reports, troubleshooting records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Support GPU workload operations, incident response and other onsite technical activities as required.
Work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays, to support 24/7 GPU infrastructure operations.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Networking or a related field.
Hands-on experience in server hardware maintenance, data centre operations or IT infrastructure support is preferred. Fresh graduates with a strong technical foundation are welcome to apply.
Good understanding of server hardware components, including GPUs, CPUs, memory, storage, NICs and power supplies.
Familiarity with NVIDIA GPU servers is a strong advantage.
Basic Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, including GPU driver issues, server failures and system errors.
Basic knowledge of networking, server connectivity and hardware diagnostics.
Familiarity with BMC/IPMI, firmware management, nvidia-smi or GPU monitoring tools is an advantage.
Comfortable with hands-on hardware work, equipment handling, inventory management and onsite troubleshooting.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and respond to operational incidents is mandatory.
Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and good English communication skills.
