Description
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Public Works Director, the Grade 2 Skilled Laborer performs essential maintenance functions as required. This is a union position with the Teamsters Local 205.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs of assigned building(s) and equipment
- Accomplish minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work
- Operation of a variety of hand tools, electric powered and gasoline powered tools
- Perform tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, servicing restrooms, moving furniture, receiving material, digging, raking, mowing, trimming, shoveling of snow, and other similar tasks as required
- Table and room set up/tear down for events
- Occasional operation of snowplow or dump trucks
- Performs other assigned tasks as required
