OCCAM Industries | Kyiv – Full-time

Your Career. Our Mission. One Front.

OCCAM Industries is a British-Ukrainian MilTech company building hardware-agnostic software for next-generation defence capabilities.

We work directly with leading Ukrainian OEMs to bring autonomy to the frontline at scale - turning existing unmanned platforms into autonomous systems capable of delivering critical missions, destroying targets, and saving lives.

Our technology is already deployed by Ukrainian brigades in combat, helping operators hit targets.

We believe in strength for peace. Ukraine has proved that a free society can defend its freedom when its citizens are willing and able to defend it. OCCAM exists to give those citizens the capability to do so.

We are well-funded and based in Kyiv. We are still early; the team is small, and we are growing fast.

That means there is a lot to build — inside and outside of the technology.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious person at the beginning of their career who wants to learn how a startup actually gets built.

You might be graduating now. You might have had your first job already. You do not need years of experience in operations, defence or startups.

What we care about is whether you are intelligent, ambitious, resourceful, dependable and unusually good at figuring things out.

You will join our team in Kyiv as a Founder Associate focused on operations, working closely with experienced founders and operators and helping solve the hundreds of practical problems that appear when a company is growing quickly in a difficult environment.

Some will be straightforward. Others will be messy, ambiguous and unlike anything you have dealt with before.

Your job is to make things happen.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of operational problems and projects across our work in Ukraine
  • Help build and improve the systems that allow a fast-growing company to operate effectively
  • Work across teams to unblock problems, coordinate execution and make sure important things actually happen
  • Support the team wherever the highest-priority operational need is, adapting as the company grows and priorities change
  • Spot things that could work better, take initiative and find practical ways to improve them

About You

We care much more about your potential than the number of years on your CV.

You are ambitious, high-agency and want to be useful. You would rather be given a real problem to solve than a carefully defined list of tasks, and you are comfortable working things out as you go.

You are scrappy in the best sense of the word. If something needs to happen, you find the person, information or workaround that gets it moving. You take ownership, follow things through and notice what needs doing without waiting to be told.

You are confident in your ability without needing to be the most important person in the room. You care about the team succeeding, and you are willing to do both the interesting work and the unglamorous work required to make that happen.

You are trustworthy, discreet and have the judgement to operate in an environment where OPSEC matters.

You may be early in your career. What matters is that you are looking for somewhere that will expect a lot from you, invest in you, and give you room to become very good, very quickly.

Why Join

This is a chance to launch your career in a sector that matters.

Most graduate jobs give you a narrow lane and ask you to stay in it. This one will not.

The role offers a broad view of how an early-stage company is built, working across the problems that make the rest of the business possible. You will see issues before they have neat owners and learn what good execution looks like when there is no established playbook.

Based in Ukraine as part of a well-funded, international European startup, you will gain first-hand exposure to how a Western company operates, work closely with colleagues across Europe and build experience that will carry weight well beyond this role.

This is work at the edge of what is possible in both technology and geopolitics: a chance to help shape how AI transforms modern warfare, working directly with the founder and a small team on one of the most consequential deployments in modern defence technology.

Most importantly, your work will help OCCAM build the team behind technology that helps Ukraine win.
