Graduate Civil Engineers play a vital role in the successful execution of construction projects by supporting senior engineering staff in design, planning, and management phases. This position serves as a critical developmental platform, allowing individuals to refine their technical expertise and project management capabilities while contributing to the delivery of high-quality infrastructure. The role bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring that projects meet design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and Technical Support: Collaborate on the creation of structural, hydraulic, and geotechnical calculations, engineering drawings, and technical specifications utilizing CAD and BIM software.
- Site Oversight and Reporting: Execute regular site inspections to track construction progress, verify alignment with design plans, and maintain comprehensive daily logs to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Documentation and Planning: Draft technical reports, feasibility studies, bills of quantities (BOQ), and project schedules under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Quality and Safety Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality control assessments on materials and workmanship while enforcing strict adherence to occupational health and safety (HSE) regulations.
- Data Analysis and Testing: Evaluate soil investigation reports, surveying data, and material test results, such as concrete slump and compression tests, to validate design integrity.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with contractors, sub-contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to address and resolve on-site technical challenges.
- Regulatory Adherence: Assist in ensuring all project activities comply with local building codes, environmental laws, and town planning guidelines.
