About the role

The Graduate Data Analyst supports and progressively takes ownership of the reporting, data collection and systems capability of the business. They ensure data is captured accurately and on time, maintain the dashboards and databases the business relies on, and interpret the figures to report insights that support business performance and identify areas for growth and change. This is a development position. The successful candidate will receive structured training and support to grow into full ownership of the role.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the ThingsBoard data collection platform — form creation and modification, calculated fields and user access.

  • Support the farm automation and monitoring systems, including Node-RED control flows and Victron VRM solar and battery monitoring.

  • Maintain databases across Excel, SQL and Amazon Web Services to uphold data integrity standards.

  • Run and monitor automated data loads from retail partners, and investigate any discrepancies.

  • Carry out regular audits and validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.

  • Maintain and develop daily and weekly dashboards in AWS QuickSight for business owners and department managers.

  • Compile accurate department figures weekly into the Scorecard Meeting spreadsheet for the leadership team.

  • Report to the leadership team on performance, fluctuations and growth, with recommendations for improvement or change.

  • Use MS Office, particularly Excel, including complex nested formulas and functions, to derive key metrics.

  • Support Google Workspace users, groups and access, and email security and filtering.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in data science, statistics, computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or commerce, completed within the last two years.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, ideally MySQL, including writing queries, joins and filtering.

  • Working knowledge of Python, including data handling with libraries such as pandas.

  • Good understanding of Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX and pivot tables.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Current driver's licence.

  • Right to work in Australia.

  • Analytical mind and passionate about numbers.

  • Detail oriented and task focused.
