Graduate Financial Analyst Intern Part-Time
Description
Position Summary
CR England is one of the largest carriers in North America and a leading provider of shipping and logistics services, with over 100 years in the industry.
We are seeking a Graduate Financial Analyst Intern to support senior management through analysis, forecasting, reporting, and project support. This is a part-time role for master’s students within 6–12 months of completing their degree, with the intent to convert to a full-time Financial Analyst position upon graduation. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel and financial modeling skills, enjoy solving complex problems, and be able to communicate insights to business leadership.
Pay: $35 per hour, part-time. This role works in the office Tuesday through Thursday, with flexibility for class schedules (such as an early departure or a late arrival).
We’re looking for ambitious candidates— taking on increasing responsibility over time and developing into future leaders within the organization.
Our team runs on two tools: Claude and Microsoft Excel. We use them every day to build analysis, reporting, and tools. We need people who come in the door already highly proficient in both: advanced Excel users with real financial modeling skills, and experienced Claude (or similar AI) users who are hungry to keep pushing what it can do. Snowflake experience is a major plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial models to assist in budget planning and weekly forecasts.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including variance analysis.
Provide ad hoc project support for senior management.
Assist with the month-end close process in coordination with corporate finance.
Identify financial opportunities and risks.
Transform data into actionable insights and develop new reporting structures.
Use Claude and other AI tools to automate reporting, speed up analysis, and build new tools for the team.
Collaborate with department leaders to align priorities and establish goals across multiple operating divisions.
Foster a team-oriented mindset, contribute to problem-solving, and deliver exceptional service to business partners.
Education and Experience
Currently enrolled in a master’s program (MBA, MAcc, MS Finance, or related field) and within 6–12 months of graduation.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Hands-on experience using Claude or similar AI tools in professional or academic work, and a drive to keep building that skill.
Prior internship or professional experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or related fields preferred.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Available to work in the office Tuesday through Thursday.
Snowflake experience a major plus; Microsoft SQL skills a plus.
