- Maintain engineering project plans, including schedules, milestones, dependencies and critical path
- Run and minute engineering stand-ups and design reviews, capture actions and chase closure
- Track open issues, risks and decisions across the programme and keep the risk register current
- Prepare weekly progress reporting and simple engineering KPIs for the leadership team
- Support coordination of concurrent workstreams across electrical, mechanical, software and build
- Work with discipline engineers to capture and maintain system and subsystem requirements
- Support design reviews by preparing packs, collating comments and tracking resolution
- Assist with engineering studies, component comparisons and selection rationale
- Support build, test and commissioning activities on the shop floor, including troubleshooting
- Help prepare test plans, validation evidence and compliance documentation
- Maintain the Bill of Materials and support engineering change requests through to release
- Keep version control disciplined across drawings, documents and software releases
- Write and improve work instructions and assembly documentation with the production team
- Act as a clear point of contact between engineering, production, commercial and external partners
- Prepare concise updates for internal stakeholders, customers and project partners
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Systems or General Engineering
- Evidence of leading or coordinating a technical project, at university, in a student team or in industry
- Genuine hands-on interest in engineering, practical experience of building, testing or fixing things
- Strong organisational instincts, the ability to hold a plan in your head and keep detail under control
- Confident written and verbal communication, comfortable challenging engineers and suppliers
- Competent with spreadsheets, project planning tools and technical documentation
- Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision with few documented processes
- Self-motivated, resilient and an effective team player
- Eligible to work in the UK
Nice to have
- Familiarity with battery systems, BMS, power electronics or high voltage safety
- Exposure to CAD, PLM, ERP or MRP systems
- Awareness of project management methods such as GANTT planning, risk management, V-model development and change control
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Any interest towards an APM or PRINCE2 qualification
