Graduate IT Support & Managed Services Engineer (Microsoft 365 & Cloud)
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
About Muscatech
Muscatech is a Melbourne-based Managed IT Services Provider supporting small and medium businesses across Australia.
We specialise in delivering:
Managed IT Services
Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms
Identity, endpoint management, and security
Ongoing IT operations, monitoring, and environment uplift
Our Managed IT division focuses on proactive management, standardisation, and continuous improvement of customer environments — not just reactive support. We work to ensure our customers' systems are secure, stable, and evolving over time.
You will be working as part of a small, dedicated technical team, where collaboration, accountability, and ownership are key. You won't be siloed into a single function — you'll gain exposure across support, project delivery, and environment improvement. Every team member contributes across support and project work, and you will gain exposure to how environments are designed, built, and continuously improved — not just maintained and supported.
Most of our work is delivered remotely using modern tools, allowing us to respond quickly, work efficiently, and focus on doing things properly.
We are not a call centre, and we are not a one-person shop. We operate as an extension of our customers' businesses.
The Opportunity
We are opening a Graduate position for someone who genuinely enjoys IT and wants to build real, end-to-end capability — not just close tickets.
This role combines:
Day-to-day support and managed services, and
Designing, building, implementing, and uplifting customer environments
You'll work closely with our customers and engineers to deliver IT solutions that support real business outcomes, while building strong engineering fundamentals along the way.
This is an all-rounder role with structured growth, mentoring, and hands-on exposure to live customer environments.
What You'll Be Doing
Day-to-day support & managed services
You'll help keep customer environments secure, stable, and running smoothly by:
Providing IT support to end users across Windows, Microsoft 365, and common business platforms
Logging, triaging, resolving, and documenting tickets clearly
Communicating confidently with customers and owning issues through to resolution
Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID, Purview)
Assisting with Intune-managed endpoints, device compliance, and endpoint health
Performing and responding to proactive managed services checks, including:
Backup health
Patch status
Endpoint / EDR health
Device and server alerts
Escalating issues appropriately as complexity increases
Design, Build & Uplift (Projects & Engineering Exposure)
Alongside support work, you'll progressively contribute to project and delivery work, including:
Assisting with the design and implementation of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune environments and continuously improving our templates.
Helping build and deploy new tenants, devices, and configurations
Supporting uplift initiatives such as:
Security posture improvements
Identity and access enhancements
Endpoint standardisation
Cloud migrations and restructuring
Assisting with PC refreshes, OS upgrades
Assisting with application packaging, group policy & PowerShell scripting
Producing clear technical documentation for environments you help build or modify
This balance ensures you develop genuine engineering capability — not just service desk experience.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Completed degree (3–5 years) in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Networking, or similar
Completed degree must demonstrate a minimum pass grade academic performance
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with customers
Friendly, professional, and team-oriented
Logical problem-solving ability and willingness to learn
Australian permanent residency or citizenship required
Highly Valued
We strongly prefer candidates who demonstrate genuine interest in technology outside formal study, such as:
Home labs (Microsoft 365 tenant, Intune, Azure, networking, virtualisation)
PowerShell, scripting, or GitHub projects
Tech clubs, hackathons, internships, volunteering, or community IT work
Microsoft certifications (completed or in progress)
We are not looking for someone who simply completed a course to get a job.
We are looking for someone who enjoys IT and wants to keep improving.
You don't need to know everything on day one — attitude, curiosity, and learning velocity matter far more.
