Graduate IT Systems Support Person – Logistics & Warehouse

About the role

Australasian Mail Services is looking for a Graduate IT Systems & Support Engineer to join our IT team based in Matraville. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT graduate or junior IT professional looking to build broad, practical experience across systems, infrastructure, networking, business applications and warehouse technology. This is not a traditional helpdesk-only role. You will work closely with our warehouse, logistics and transport teams, helping ensure the technology supporting our day-to-day operations is reliable, effective and continuously improving. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will gain exposure to a broad technology environment while learning how IT systems support a fast-moving e-commerce, freight and logistics business.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on IT systems and technical support across warehouse and office operations

  • Troubleshoot issues across Windows environments, networks, applications and end-user devices

  • Support Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions and related services

  • Assist with servers, cloud services and infrastructure monitoring

  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS and DHCP connectivity issues

  • Support warehouse technology including scanners, label printers and operational systems

  • Investigate issues affecting warehouse, fulfilment, dispatch and transport operations

  • Work with internal IT specialists and external vendors to resolve technical issues

  • Assist with system upgrades, deployments, testing and implementation

  • Identify recurring problems and opportunities for automation and process improvement

About you

  • A qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking or a related discipline

  • Graduate, internship or early-career experience in IT support, systems, infrastructure or a similar environment

  • Good knowledge of Windows environments

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi

  • Basic understanding of servers and infrastructure

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • A willingness to learn and develop across different areas of IT

  • A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work directly with operational teams
