- Collaborates with mentors and educators during the first year of practice to evolve from a student mindset into a high-functioning professional nurse.
- Completes all structured learning requirements—including simulations and skills labs—to successfully transition into a professional role.
- Participates in residency seminars designed to enhance professional development while effectively managing clinical scheduling and department commitments.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Preferred Credential(s):
- Approved Local Exception. Approved for local use in WI to add Temporary License to meet local requirements. All other ministries must seek approval to use Approved Local Exception.
Education
- Enrolled in or completion of Nursing program required. Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required within 90 days of hire.
