Graduate position - MEP Junior Cost Manager
As part of a project team, you will gain hands-on experience in cost planning, cost management, and cost control for exciting building construction projects from the industrial sectors (e.g. Data Centres, Pharma, Manufacturing) .
In this role you will work on cost management and commercial control of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) packages on a major Data Center project in Milan. The role offers exposure to all project phases, from design through construction and handover.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting for MEP works.
- Review and analyze contractor and supplier quotations.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, variations, and change orders.
- Support procurement and tendering activities.
- Prepare regular cost reports and track project KPIs.
- Take on increasing responsibility for your own project workstreams, helping to ensure effective cost management and financial control for our clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with design, construction, procurement, and client teams.
- Recent graduate from an engineering, construction economics, Quantity Surveying or construction‑related degree.
- Strong interest in project financial management, related tools, and the construction sector as a whole.
- Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing knowledge.
- First practical experience in building construction projects.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, and you are comfortable working with these tools on a daily basis.
- Enjoy tackling complex challenges and working in an international environment.
- Fluent in Italian and English; strong written communication skills, able to produce reports in both languages.
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools.
