Graduate Software Engineer
At Coram AI, we’re reimagining video security for the modern world. Our cloud-native platform uses computer vision and AI to help businesses stay safe, make smarter decisions, and move faster; from real-time alerts to seamless clip sharing and multi-site visibility.
You’ll be joining an ambitious, fast-moving team that values clarity, craftsmanship, and impact. Every person here has a voice, ships meaningful work, and helps shape how AI can make the world safer and more connected.
The role:
We're looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. You'll be building the systems that power our video intelligence platform: services that ingest and process video and sensor data at scale, AI features that let people search hours of footage in plain English, and real-time detections running across a fleet of edge devices. You'll be shipping code to production in your first weeks, sitting next to the people who designed the systems you're working on, and getting your work reviewed by engineers who care about making you better. The scope you take on grows as fast as you do.
Responsibilities:
AI-native features, end to end. Natural-language video search, real-time detections, and agentic workflows built on multimodal LLMs and computer vision. You'll be working with models that didn't exist eighteen months ago, on problems that don't have a Stack Overflow answer yet.
Ingesting, processing, and serving video and sensor data in real time, in Golang and Python
User-facing frontends in TypeScript and React, working directly with product rather than through three layers of ticket
APIs and systems that sit between our ML pipelines and our edge device fleet
Infrastructure and architecture, alongside the senior engineers making those calls - Kubernetes on AWS, Pulumi for IaC
Distributed systems, real-time processing, and high availability
Skills and qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Solid programming fundamentals in at least one modern programming language, and the appetite to pick up the others
Evidence that you build things: side projects, internships, open source, hackathons, etc.
Genuine curiosity about AI and where the technology is going
The resilience to work in a fast-paced environment where the answer often isn't known yet
Resilient in challenging and fast-paced environments
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence at all levels
Ability to work in an onsite environment
What we offer:
Competitive compensation package (base salary + variable compensation)
100% Employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and base life insurance
Flexible paid time off and 9 paid holidays
401(k) with both Traditional and Roth options
Equity in a rapidly growing company
Referral bonuses
Daily team dinners and regular team off-sites to build connection and momentum
The latest Apple tech and unlimited tech stack
We're on a mission to transform a $50B+ legacy industry by bringing the power of cutting-edge multimodal LLMs and computer vision to real-world security and operations. From firearm detection to intelligent access control, our AI-native platform turns every camera and sensor into a smart system that enhances safety, efficiency, and awareness.
