We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Trader to join our dynamic team in Singapore in a12-month fixed term Graduate position with option to convert to a permanent position upon successful completion of the graduate program.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and maintain Python-based trading, risk-management, and booking-control tools.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of desk workflows in cooperation with Trading, IT, Quant, and other teams.
- Support, troubleshoot, and continuously enhance existing trading infrastructure and internal tools.
- Monitor and manage risks arising from the issuance and trading of structured products
- Systematically review trade bookings and positions, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate position maintenance.
- Produce and automate risk reports and management information.
- Maintain and mark market and pricing parameters.
- Work with Sales and Structuring to support trading opportunities and acquire deep expertise in exotic derivatives, risk dynamics, and desk systems.
- Provide desk coverage, including order taking and execution, as product knowledge develops.
Must-have requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Strong Python programming skills and demonstrated ability to automate workflows.
- Solid understanding of option theory, derivatives pricing, Greeks, and risk.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous and methodical approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Strong communication skills
Additional assets
- Prior experience in Exotic Equity or Exotic FX trading, structuring, quantitative analysis, or a related role.
- Familiarity with structured products, trading systems, trade booking, and product lifecycle processes.
- Experience with databases, APIs, version control, or other software-development tools.
- Knowledge of Japan and Hong Kong markets.
