Summary
Graduate trainee developing software solutions, debugging code, and learning new technologies in a fast-paced team environment for a communications service provider.
Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Debugging and testing code.
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Researching, investigating and fixing a wide range of technical issues.
- Approaching problems and creating solutions.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A thorough understanding of computer architecture, databases, operating systems, and data structures.
- Knowledge of core computer science concepts such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
- Knowledge of Computer networks and networking protocols.
- Experience with Java, Python, Go, NodeJS/JavaScript or any other programming languages.
- Good searching skill for learning and preparing the solution.
- Any cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure and GCP).
- Knowledge with Linux/Unix, Perl and/or shell scripts.
- Having certification is an advantage.
- Creativity is always a plus.
- Bachelor’s or master's in computer science / information technology/ Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications. Should have graduated in 2024/ 2025.
