General Duties
- Compiles, edits and submits grant applications by identified deadlines
- Conducts research to identify potential grant funding sources
- Works with program personnel to identify needs and complete application process
- Prepares grant budgets in cooperation with The Centers’ accounting staff
- Monitors expenditures of grant funds in accordance with approved grant budget
- Monitors compliance with grant funding
- When necessary request budget amendments from granting agency
- Evaluates and monitors projects and contracts for federal, state and local government
- Monitors changes in grant requirements
- Manages input from internal and external stakeholders in the formulation of grant initiatives to include preparation of federal, state, and local government grant applications for department consideration
- Provides advice, assistance and reports to executive staff regarding matters pertaining to grants
- Prepares periodic reports on the fiscal status of grants
- Interprets federal guidelines and state regulations pertaining to grant compliance
- Assures maximum allowable use of available grant resources
- Prepares program grant reports with input from program manager
- Builds external relationships with grant funders through networking opportunities, scheduled meetings, tours and other opportunities
- Provides stewardship to donors including regular written updates to corporate and foundation grant funders
- Supports the Foundation at special events including Emerging Leaders, Champions of Hope, Classic Golf and Evolve
This position is deemed safety-sensitive
Bachelor’s Degree, prefer experience in grant writing and grant administration.
Must have excellent writing skills, experience in Internet research, and be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
