Summary
Designs luxury hotel marketing assets—brochures, menus, social media, and signage—using Adobe Creative Suite to uphold Fairmont’s brand standards.
- The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and producing high-quality, on-brand visual content that supports the hotel's marketing, communications, and revenue objectives. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications team, the role translates campaign briefs, promotional calendars, and outlet requirements into compelling design assets across print, digital, and in-house collateral, ensuring every piece reflects Fairmont's luxury brand identity and Fairmont visual standards.
- Design and produce marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, posters, in-room directories, tent cards, menus, wine lists, invitations, and signage for all hotel outlets (rooms, F&B, spa, events, weddings).
- Create digital assets for social media, the hotel website, e-newsletters, EDMs, OTA listings, and digital signage/TV channels, ensuring content is optimized for each platform.
- Develop artwork for seasonal promotions, festive campaigns (Ramadan, National Day, New Year, summer), and outlet-specific activations in coordination with F&B, Spa, and Rooms Division teams.
- Ensure all designs strictly adhere to Fairmont brand guidelines, corporate identity standards, and any local regulatory or cultural requirements.
- Liaise with external printers, signage vendors, and production houses to manage print specifications, proofing, quality control, and timely delivery within budget.
- Support basic photo and video shoots for social content, including editing/retouching and light video editing for social content. Basic photography skills for capturing visual assets are preferred.
- Maintain and organize the hotel's digital asset library, templates, and brand toolkit for easy access by other departments.
- Assist in the design and layout of internal communications, colleague engagement materials, training aids, and back-of-house signage.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Manager/Director on project timelines, ensuring design requests from all departments are prioritized and delivered on schedule.
- Stay current with design trends, hospitality marketing best practices, and competitor collateral to bring fresh creative ideas to the team.
- Support the preparation of presentations, proposals, and sales kits for the Sales, Events, and Catering teams as required.
- Ensure proper archiving and version control of all design files and maintain confidentiality of pre-release campaign material.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of graphic design experience, preferably within a luxury hotel, hospitality group, or agency serving hospitality/lifestyle clients.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design range across print and digital media is required at interview stage.
- Prior experience working with an international hotel brand (Accor, Fairmont, or similar) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects is a plus.
- Familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint/Keynote for quick-turnaround internal decks and proposals.
- Understanding of print production processes: color profiles (CMYK/Pantone), bleed, paper stock, and finishing techniques.
- Basic photography and photo-editing skills; video editing capability for social media content is desirable.
- Knowledge of social media specifications and digital content best practices (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking with meticulous attention to detail and consistency.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple design requests and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across Marketing, F&B, Rooms, Spa, and Sales teams.
- Ability to interpret briefs accurately and offer creative solutions aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
- Adaptable and responsive to last-minute changes typical of a dynamic hotel operating environment.
- Passion for luxury hospitality, storytelling, and the Fairmont brand experience.
Primarily office-based within the Marketing & Communications department, with periodic requirement to be present on-site during photo/video shoots, events, or promotional activations, including occasional evenings or weekends as business needs dictate.
