Graphic Designer (Entry Level)

Entry-level graphic designer joining an in-house creative team at a senior living company, working remotely (NJ/NY/PA) to create print and digital visual content and social media graphics, with occasional travel for meetings. Remote position (NJ; NY; PA) reporting to our Corporate Design Team with occasional travel for meetings.
Salary Range: $55K
We are seeking a self-starter graphic designer, for an in-house creative team, who can balance multiple projects while managing time effectively to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate not only has a solid grasp of typography hierarchy and design fundamentals but can also take limited direction and transform it into eye-catching, polished creative.
This entry-level position is perfect for a recent graduate or designer with limited professional experience who is eager for creative freedom, hands-on learning, and growth opportunities. The role requires someone who can stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly when priorities shift, and handle last-minute requests without compromising quality.
As a Graphic Designer, you will collaborate with our design, marketing, and activities teams to create engaging visual content across print and digital platforms. You will also provide support for social media by creating graphics and posting events.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and good use of typography
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro)
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, communicate effectively, manage time efficiently, and complete jobs from concept to final
- Ability to maintain composure and manage workload effectively, even when unexpected rush projects arise
- Flexibility to switch gears quickly and adapt to shifting priorities or tight turnaround times
- Degree in Graphic Design or comparable field
- Additional skills that are a plus, but not required: social media experience, light video editing, copywriting, PowerPoint
