About The Internship
North is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Design Intern to support our brand across marketing, sales, web, events, and other customer-facing experiences.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll collaborate with team members across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Engineering. You might help design social media graphics one day, refine a sales presentation the next, and contribute ideas for a product launch, event, or website campaign later in the week.
This is a great opportunity for a student who wants hands-on experience at a fast-moving technology startup. You’ll create real-world work, receive feedback from experienced team members, and learn how design supports a growing business.
What You'll Do
- Create engaging digital and print assets for social media, email, advertising campaigns, events, and brand initiatives.
- Support the development of sales materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and customer presentations.
- Translate technical concepts into clear and engaging visual communication.
- Help organize and maintain brand templates, design files, and shared creative assets.
- Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Contribute creative ideas while managing multiple assignments and deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.
- A portfolio featuring relevant academic, freelance, internship, or personal design work.
- Working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.
- A strong foundation in typography, layout, color, visual hierarchy, and composition.
- Interest in branding, marketing design, presentation design, and digital experiences.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work.
- Curious, dependable, and excited to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Able to manage assignments independently while communicating clearly with the team.
- Based in or near New York City and available to collaborate from our Dumbo, Brooklyn office as part of a hybrid schedule.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing presentation decks or marketing collateral.
- Familiarity with responsive web design or UX/UI principles.
- Motion graphics or basic video-editing experience.
- Familiarity with After Effects, Canva, Webflow, or other website-building tools.
- Interest in B2B technology, cloud infrastructure, AI, or developer-focused products.
- Experience creating designs for student organizations, events, publications, or social media.
